INO-Hymn Worship Assistant

The INO-hymn Worship Assistant offers complete access to the 975 hymns and worship songs on the Lifeway Worship Project music chart CD available from www.lifewayworship.com. (Note: All you will need to add is a CD based on which instrument you'll be using the program for.) It was designed for ease of use; so you can concentrate on worship, not on turning pages or finding the next song.

You start out on the Music Selection page.

On the left is the list of songs available. After you select a song, you can play it immediately, either by right-clicking the list or by clicking the "Play Immediately" button. Alternatively, you can add it to your song list by double-clicking it, or by clicking the "Add to List" button. After you have added your song to the list, you can select it, then move it up or down, or remove it if desired. The song list currently has a maximum of 20 songs allowed on it.

To start your song list, you can click either the "Start Song List" or "Return to Song List" button. The "Start Song List" button will take you to the first song on your list. The "Return to Song List" button will return you to the position on your song list where you were when you accessed the Music Selection screen; alternatively, if you hadn't accessed your song list before, or if you rearranged your music list, it will take you to the first song on your list.

Up next is the Play Immediately page.

Left-clicking either the mouse or the foot pedal will take you to the previous page of the music; right-clicking either one will take you to the next page. Alternatively, you can click the "Previous Page" or "Next Page" buttons on the screen. To get back to the Music Selection screen, you can either click one of the side buttons on the mouse, or you can click the "Select Music" button in the upper left-hand corner of the screen.

The Music List page is last.

Right-clicking the mouse or the foot pedal, or clicking the "Next Page" button, will take you to the next page of the current song. If you are on the last page of the song, and there is another song in the list, this will take you to the first page of the next song on your list, as will the "Next Song" button. Left-clicking the mouse or the foot switch, or clicking the "Previous Page" button will take you to the previous page; if you are on the first page of the song, and there is a previous song in the list, this will take you to the last page of the previous song. Alternatively, you can click the "Previous Song" button to take you to the first page of the previous song.

Between the "Previous Page" and "Next Page" buttons is a window containing the title of the song you are playing, as well as the title of the song immediately preceding the song you are playing positioned above the title of the current song, and the title of the song immediately following the song you are playing positioned below it; the title of the song you are currently playing is highlighted. If you are at the first song in your list, "Start of List." is displayed above the current song title; if you are at the last song in your list, "End of List." is displayed below the current song title. If you wish to return to the Music Selection screen, you can either click one of the side buttons on the mouse, or click the "Select Music" button in the upper left-hand corner of the screen.

We worked hard to keep the price down while offering a complete product; the system, composed of the following four components, costs $875.00. The four components included are the viewing computer/monitor combination, a touchpad mouse, a two-button footswitch, and a keyboard.

  • The viewing computer/monitor combination comes with rubber-coated brackets to secure it to a music rack or stand. The displayed music is slightly larger than if it were printed out.
  • The touchpad mouse is similar to a notebook computer's mouse; it is used to select the music for playing immediately or adding it to the music list.
  • The two-button footswitch is a rugged commercial switch. It is also silent, so it won't provide noisy distractions.
  • They keyboard is provided in case you want to use the system as a regular computer; the program is designed not to need a keyboard.

We are also working on a networked version, which will allow the main stand to send the music list out to the instrumental stands automatically. The main stand will also be able to update the other stands with a piece to play immediately. Because different arrangements of the music will have different numbers of pages, the instrumentalists will use their own foot switches.
